long, long week....

Well, my cupcake is home.  She is such a blessing!  She is such an angel!  She is the first thing I look for when I wake up...that is when I get to sleep.  Tallulah came home on her oxygen, which isn't so bad.  I just hate the little stickers that we have to use to keep them on her.  They leave her skin red when I remove them and I hate it.  We have tried using little round band-aids...she yanked them suckers off in like 2 minutes.  So back to the hated stickers we went.  She also came home on an Apnea monitor.  Its these 2 black rubber things with velcro on the back and a wire coming out of the bottom connected to this VERY loud machine.  We put them on her chest and then wrap this thin micro fibre type fabric around them and the velcro holds them in place. Not too bad either.  The only issue we are having is that T is a squirmer when she sleeps and we are super duper paranoid that she is going to tangle herself up and we will be asleep and cant fix it.  To solve this fear, we take shifts awake 24 hours.  Luckily we have 2 very helpful grandma's here to help us.  I really don't know how people do this without the help of these women.  They are really helping out so that we can focus on our super-star.  She has a pretty strict medication schedule.  I feel so bad for her because one of her medications turns the entire bottle green.  It smells like a rusty pole.  Its her iron medicine.  The minute you put the bottle in her mouth she wrinkles her forehead and slows down the drinking.  Luckily its only once a day Tallulah has had a few Dr.s appointments so far.  Everything is going pretty good on that end.  My family is having a ball with Tallulah.  Her uncles super duper heart T.  She is one very lucky girl when it comes to having the love of both families.  She is sleeping really well. She is pretty much on the same feeding schedule that she was on in the hospital.  Every 3 hours.  She is weighing in at 5 lbs 12 oz.  On a side note, I have never been more tired in my entire life.  I have never been happier in my entire life.  I have never been more in love in my entire life.  That's all...R
